COVID-19 Updates 

Update 16/04/2020 

Binder Ltd are aware of the challenging environment we are all currently finding ourselves in while we are trying to deal with the Covid 19 outbreak. Our process below is as set out on the date of the procedure and will be updated as more information comes to light. Currently we : 
 
Will contact Care Homes/Nursing Homes and Housing Associations prior to any routine service work being undertaken to confirm their requirement for attendance. Emergency work will be carried out as usual 
Have instructed all employees to maintain where possible, the stated distance of 2.0 meters and avoid physical contact (e.g. shaking hands etc). 
We will not for the ensuing period be obtaining signatures upon completion of work 
Have implemented and tested the possibility of office-based employees working from home – this will ensure continuity of phone calls being answered, customers concerns being dealt with while still maintaining regular contact with field-based employees. 
Have minimised the need for field-based service engineers to come to our main depot on a daily basis, instead they will only come to the stores to collect necessary van stock. 
Have arranged that all scheduled work will be sent and returned electronically. 
Are providing weekly releases via e mail to all our employees to keep them updated on our current status 
 
Whilst every endeavour will be made to ensure ‘regular’ work will not be impeded we are all facing challenging and unprecedented times. As such we can only respond to the scientific advice and instruction issued by both the Government and the World Health Organisation as it develops over the coming months. It is likely therefore that further clarification or updates on process will be required once this has been issued. 

Update 26/03/2020 

Binder have now halted all installations until further notice however we are still available to answer enquiries with new or existing enquiries. 
 
All our other departments continue to operate under our revised processes detailed in our 24/03/2020 update. 

Update 24/03/2020 

Following the latest speech by the Prime Minister last night, and more strict measures for the UK being implemented, we are finding ourselves in an unprecedented situation. We would like to take the time to reassure all our customers that Binder Limited will be maintaining its current services. As published on the government website, sewerage services are considered critical to the COVID-19 response. 
Therefore, Binder Limited will continue to operate our usual 24/7 service, however, we have made some changes to our usual working procedures to ensure the safety of our employees and customers. 
 
Prior Notification 
Binder employees will not arrive at your premises without prior notification 
 
Social Distancing 
Binder employees will maintain social distancing and we would expect our customers to do the same. Our employees will not ask for signatures for the work carried out or leave a calling card. Worksheets and Waste Transfer Notes will be emailed to customers following the work or a printed copy will be sent with the invoice. 
 
Our Office 
Many of our office staff members are now working from home, systems have been put in place that should result in customers receiving the same level of customer service they would have received if we were operating from our office. 
 
Payments 
We would greatly appreciate it if payments could be made online wherever possible. Payment details can be found at the bottom of our invoices. 
 
We are following advice provided by Government and will keep you updated in the event of any changes.
