Ahead of Earth Day 2022 (April 22), we are delighted to announce the launch of our brand new Green Initiative. 
For every residential installation, we are gifting a native tree to kick-start our sustainability journey toward a more environmentally-conscious company. This is just one small step as part of our long-term objectives to ensure business operations are more sustainable - an integral part of our company ethos. 
Not only do trees provide a habitat for the local ecosystem, but they also contribute to the improvement of air quality. Did you know, on average, one tree produces almost 118kg of oxygen and absorbs up to 22kg of carbon each year? 
Scientific evidence shows that trees benefit the environment and increase health and wellbeing by: 
Helping to purify the air 
Lowering the air temperature 
Preventing flooding 
Sustaining wildlife 
Improving soil quality 
Lowering stress 
As an environmentally responsible liquid waste management company, our operations are approved by the Environmental Agency, and ensuring the highest quality of water discharge back into the local environment is part of this validation. But, we want to go even further than this and introduce new initiatives to support the local environment and contribute to the wider efforts to tackle climate change.

Binder Ltd are continuing what has become somewhat of a tradition over the last 10 years by presenting beautiful half gold sovereigns to members of staff who have worked for the company for 20 years. 
Chairman, Wally Binder, is delighted on behalf of the Directors to present both Derek Youngman and Paul Compton with their long service awards. 
Derek started with us a tanker driver in 2001. Derek came to Binder’s after 10 years working for the Tolly Cobbold brewery as a drayman. 
Over the years Derek has become an extremely popular tanker driver amongst our customers, with our scheduling team often being asked for them to send “the man with the beard”. 
Paul started his time with Binder making fibreglass products and soon went into our construction department which replaces septic tanks for sewage treatment plants into both domestic and commercial applications. After 4 years in our construction department, Paul achieved his HGV license and moved on to become one of our Tanker Drivers becoming a senior Tanker Driver for 3 years. in 2018 a vacancy became available assisting in running our on-site sewage treatment plant. Paul is now an integral part of the team which operates this important part of the business. 
All the Directors would like to express their gratitude to both Derek and Paul for their stoic commitment to the Binder brand and would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone, those who have recently joined and those who have become an integral part of the fabric for their hard work over what had been a very challenging and unprecedented time. 
Let’s look forward to many more years together !!!!! 
We would like to congratulate Peter Elmslie on his successful application for the new Servicing Manager role. Peter has been working with the company since 2004 and was initially based within the installation department. He then moved over to the maintenance team in 2006 and became one of Binder's first Senior Engineers in 2014. In the same year Peter accepted a role in the office, as one of the schedulers for the engineering department, where he continued to excel. We look forward to Peter continuing to develop and oversee the tankering, jetting, drain surveying and engineering departments from a managerial perspective. 
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome Tony Shaw, our new Sales Manager, to the management team at Binder Limited. Tony will be leading sales teams across all departments of the company. 
We are delighted to announce the addition of both a jetting and a drain surveying department to the list of services we are able to provide.  
We are pleased to announce that we have partnered with Bio-D and will begin to supply their hypoallergenic, environmentally responsible detergents to our customers.The products have minimal impact upon the ecosystem, both in use and during the manufacturing process. The cleaning products can all be purchased from our online webshop. 
We are currently broadening our range of Binder Bio products.  
Although we originally concentrated on solely fat and oil treatments, we are now expanding into odour control, treatment plant nutrification and urinal blocks. 
Congratulations to the Binder Sales team who won first prize for 'the best non agricultural show stand' and for 'the stand making best use of floral decorations' at the Suffolk Show!

The transition to a (nearly) paperless office has now been completed, which aims to speed up operations and reduce our environmental footprint. All tankers and engineers are on the new system which allows jobs to be sent out at the beginning of the day, instead of employees having to attend the office to collect their paperwork on a daily basis. Emergencies and urgent requests to be updated on the fly and work summaries, invoices and service reminders can now all be sent electronically.
